Date Night – Late Night!

Friday, May 5 - 5-9PM (And The First Friday of Every Month)

The Folsom Historic Merchants invite you to enjoy Date Night Late Night on the First Friday of each month. Stroll Sutter Street and the entire Historic District.  Participating merchants will be open until 9pm.  Stroll the twinkle lit streets, shop the warm, unique stores, meet the merchants, enjoy specials and stick around for a bite to eat or a sip of wine. The fun will begin at 5pm and continues up and down the Historic District until 8pm.

Restaurants and bars will remain open past 9pm. Shops in Historic Folsom are family owned and operated and each will have their own offerings and flair.  Some things to look for will be art, live music, refreshments and specials.  Show Historic Folsom your love!

This event is free to attend and is rain or shine.

The parking garage is located at 905 Leidesdorff St in Folsom. Parking is free.

Saturday Farmers Market

Every Saturday - Year-round!

Saturday Farmers Market around the Historic Railroad Turntable and Public Plaza in Historic Folsom every Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., year-round!

Over 40+ farmers/vendors represented.

Certified farmers' locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables. Freshly made baked goods, fresh eggs and dairy items, live music and so much more!

Trick-Or-Treat in the Historic District!

Saturday, October, 28, 2017 - 1PM-4PM

TRICK-OR-TREAT in HISTORIC FOLSOM Dress up the kiddos in their Halloween finest and join us for Trick-or-Treating on Saturday, October 28th from 1-4PM throughout the Historic District of Folsom. Watch for Participating Merchant signs throughout the entire district. Come out and enjoy the family entertainment.

Note: The Folsom Historic District Association is unable to host the Night of 1000 Pumpkins this year. We do hope you will join us for good old fashioned Trick-or-Treating on October 28th!

The Historic Folsom Ice Rink opens again on November 10, 2017!

The ice rink is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., 7 days a week!

Historic Folsom Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Historic Folsom Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is just around the corner! Join us on Friday, December 1, 2017 (6PM-9PM) as we brighten up the district as we light the tree, located in the plaza at the ice skating rink. The Tree will be lit at 7:30PM. Free Train Rides compliments of Folsom Lake Bank, performances beginning at 6:30 pm at the ice rink.

The annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair is a Folsom family tradition. It takes place on December 2, 2017 from 8AM to 4PM. Sutter Street is filled with quality arts, crafts and gifts, the fair is the perfect place to complete your holiday shopping plus fun for the whole family! Historic Folsom Holiday Home Tour

December 8-9, 2017

The Historic Folsom Holiday Home Tour was a huge hit! This year it will take place on Friday, December 8th and Saturday, December 9th.

The 2016 Historic Folsom Holiday Home Tour features nine (9) charming historic sites beautifully decorated for the holidays. Within the nine sites, you’ll also find a wonderful art and hand-crafted holiday gift boutique at the Murer House, docents in period clothing and an opportunity to enjoy the season as you step back in time. A special holiday highlight will include the 100-year celebration of the Granite School site. Plus keep a look out for Frosty the Snowman to make an appearance again this year…such a big hit last year with his debut!

This event is organized by the Murer House Foundation, History Museum and the Historical Society.
