Saturday Farmers Market around the Historic Railroad Turntable and Public Plaza in Historic Folsom every Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., year-round!

Over 40+ farmers/vendors represented.

Certified farmers' locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables. Freshly made baked goods, fresh eggs and dairy items, live music and so much more!

Thursday Night Concert Series

 

 

June 2015 and July 2015
The Amphitheater has been upgraded and improved with a brand new stage cover. Join us on June 4, 2015 for a brief opening ceremony with some of your very own Folsom City Council at 6:30 pm. Everyone from our community is encouraged to attend. Then kick back and enjoy music from Ant Bee.

Eight bands will provide music genres ranging from Country Rock to Classic and Nostalgic Rock and the Blues from June 4 to July 30. The music is for all ages and the concerts are FREE! Bring family and friends to relax under the sun and stars. Make a night of it and enjoy picnic dinners by Karen’s Bakery Café or visit one of our tasty restaurants for dinner before or after the concert. There’s a lot to do in Historic Folsom including unique stores waiting to be shopped for a treasure or two.

“The 1st Annual Historic Folsom Farmers Market Peach Festival will be Saturday, August 1. The Peach Festival is a FREE all-day event; there will be tons of games, kids crafts, raffle prizes (a huge market gift basket and peach pies given away hourly!), peach-inspired specialty foods from our vendors, as well as a Peach Eating Contest and a Best Peach Pie Contest. There is NO COST to enter the Best Peach Pie Contest and prizes include a $40 market gift certificate and farmers market gift basket valued at over $150! The 48th Antique Peddlers Fair will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 8 am to 4 pm, rain or shine on Historic Sutter Street. Four blocks will be filled with a great selection of antiques and collectibles. Admission is free. Great food and live entertainment will also be featured. Night of 1000 Pumpkins

 

 

Friday, October 23, 2015
For public safety reasons, the streets will be closed. Join Us! Hours: 6pm to 9pm. This one of a kind event features a large display of lit up carved pumpkins up and down Sutter Street, trick or treat at local merchants and family friendly Halloween movies outside under the stars on a giant movie screen!

Schedule 4 PM to 5:30 PM - Pumpkin drop off in front of 200 Wool Street. Please no early drop offs.

6 PM to 8 PM - Trick or Treat at local merchants. Look for the orange trick or treat sign on their door!

6 PM - Cynthia's Dance Center performance at the outdoor amphitheater located behind 200 Wool Street.

6:30 PM - Children's Costume Contest and Parade at the outdoor amphitheater located behind 200 Wool Street. To enter please Contact Cynthia with Cynthia's Dance Studio at 916.801.6553.

7:15 PM - It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown will play at the outdoor amphitheater located behind 200 Wool Street.

Friday, December 4, 2015 - RAIN/SNOW OR SHINE

Historic Folsom Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is just around the corner! Join us on Friday, December 4, 2015 (6PM-9PM)as we brighten up the district as we light the tree, located in the plaza at the ice skating rink. The Tree will be lit at 7:30PM. Free Train Rides compliments of Folsom Lake Bank, performances beginning at 6:30 pm at the ice rink.

Tree Lighting Schedule

6 pm to 9 pm - Free Train Rides located ON Sutter Street near the Hacienda building compliments of Folsom Lake Bank.

6 pm to 8 pm - Santa Visits at Decatur and Sutter Street in the Plaza. Bring your camera!

6 pm to 8:30 pm - Kids Fun Zone with fun vendors and bounce houses located in the plaza adjacent to the ice rink.

6:30 pm - 7:10 pm Performances by Phoenix School and Sutter Street Theatre Holiday in the Hills cast

7:30 pm - Christmas Tree Lighting located at the Ice Rink.

The annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair is a Folsom family tradition. It takes place on December 5, 2015 from 8AM to 4PM. Sutter Street is filled with quality arts, crafts and gifts, the fair is the perfect place to complete your holiday shopping plus fun for the whole family! Live music, carolers, face painting and so much more! The 2015 event is rain or shine.

Historic Folsom Holiday Home Tour

The Historic Folsom Holiday Home Tour was a huge hit! This year it will take place on Friday, December 11th and Saturday, December 12th.

The 2014 Historic Folsom Holiday Home Tour features nine (9) charming historic sites decorated for the holidays, a lovely art and hand-crafted holiday gift boutique at the Murer House, musical entertainment and an opportunity to enjoy the season as you step back in time.

Folsom’s historic district dates from the mid-1800s and has numerous historic homes and structures that evoke memories of times long gone by. This year’s holiday tour celebrates “70 years of architectural styles” with tour sites ranging from the post-gold rush of the 1850s to the roaring 1920s!

Folsom’s Historic Holiday Home Tour Committee invites you to step inside charming residences and buildings to get a unique glimpse of life from bygone eras….we hope you enjoy your tour as you experience one-of-a-kind dwellings and structures decorated with festive holiday décor in delightful Old Folsom!

Tickets are $20. Tickets can be purchased at the following locations: Dorthea’s, Folsom History Museum, Folsom Chamber of Commerce, Green Acres Nursery - Folsom, Murer House, Not Too Shabby, and Raley’s – Blue Ravine.

This event is organized by the Murer House Foundation, History Museum and the Historical Society.
