Community Blood Drive

 

Please join us on Wednesday, July 15  from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. for the Folsom Community Blood Drive in Memory of Peter Lewis located at the

Granite City Event Center, 705 Gold Lakes Dr, Suite 150, Folsom CA 95630. Closed for lunch from 2:30 - 3:15 pm.  The blood drive will be held in the Granite City Event Center conference room in the lower parking lot.  Please park in the 2 hour parking area. 

 

To comply with social distancing practices, walk-ins may be accommodated if space permits, but appointments are encouraged and we are asking all of our donors to please schedule an appointment -  click here for an appointment

 

ATTENTION BLOOD DONORS. Vitalant requires all donors to wear face coverings.

Given limited supplies, Vitalant is unable to provide masks to every donor at this time. However, in order to donate blood, donors will be required to bring their own cloth-based face covering.

 

COVID-19 Antibody Testing

Starting June 1, your blood donation delivers DOUBLE the good when you help to save lives and learn your COVID-19 antibody status, which is especially important given the critical shortage of blood as hospitals have increased surgeries and other procedures.

 

As the pandemic has unfolded, and for those who fell ill with symptoms from COVID-19, but were not able to be tested, this new information could be useful to you as you move forward with work, school and daily activities. Antibody tests are used to tell if someone had a past infection with SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. This testing, however, does not indicate whether the antibodies neutralize the virus and protect against reinfection.

 

On the day of your donation, you can complete your Health Questionnaire prior to arriving at the blood drive.

• Make sure to enter your legal name (whatever is on your driver’s license) then when you enter your birthdate make sure to enter the year first (down arrow), then the month (down arrow), then the day (date on the calendar). When you complete the questions and hit the Finish button you will receive a QR code. If you complete the questionnaire on your Smartphone take a screen shot of the QR code.  If you complete the questionnaire on your computer print the QR code and bring it with you to the blood drive
