Community Blood Drive

Vitalant will hold an annual Folsom community blood, in memory of Peter Lewis. On July 20, 2022, Peter Lewis passed away at the age of 30 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

 Peter was a friend to all and never met a stranger. He worked as a theatrical stage hand and rigger at venues across California. Peter was actively involved with many Folsom events, including the Folsom Rodeo and Folsom Live, among others. In his free time, Peter enjoyed snowboarding, playing pool, adventuring, and spending time with friends. 

Whole blood donors must be at least 16 years old and there is no upper age limit. 16 year olds must have a signed Vitalant parental consent form available online at Vitalant.org.   Donors must weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, be in good general health and bring a photo I.D.
