Parking in the Historic District is limited, especially on big event days. Here are a few suggestions to make your trip to Historic Folsom a bit easier:

  1. Carpool or take Uber or Lift, whenever possible.
  2. Park in the main parking garage at 905 Leidesdorff St. There is a digital counter that allows you to see the number of spaces available before you enter.
  3. Park in the secondary, smaller parking garage at 604 Sutter Street
  4. Park in lots at Wool and Sutter, Leidesdorff St, Traders Lane or on Riley St behind the Powerhouse Pub.
  5. There are 2 additional lots near the light rail station, near Reading and Folsom Blvd. Both lots are available for free parking.
  6. Park at the rodeo grounds and enjoy a fun walk into the Historic District on the Johnny Cash Trail

Do not park near Lake Natoma Inn unless you are staying at the hotel.

Do not park in the residential area near the Historic District or in any area with a posted NO PARKING sign.

A note about Light Rail:

Regional Transit Gold Line, Route 507. See RT schedule at: sacrt.com/schedules/current/routes/R507.HTM. Parking is available at the Regional Transit stop at Iron Point and Folsom Boulevard.  Catch a bus for a short ride to the Historic District Light Rail Station.  Bus runs every 30 minutes.  Note:  Light rail service to Historic District is suspended temporarily while dual-track construction is underway from Iron Point to Historic District.
