The 2019 Polar Express™ Holiday Event

Join us on a fun-filled journey with The Polar Express™ Holiday Event. The Christmas spirit will embrace you ... short musical performance, an engaging read of The Polar Express™, a singalong, craft project for the kiddos, and specialty cookies and hot cocoa in Pioneer Village. The kiddos will receive a special ornament in the decorated genuine caboose upon departure. 

 

Must purchase tickets in advance; http://bit.ly/HistoricFolsomPolarExpress limited seating. $15 for each person. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for children 5 to 10, but fun for all ages. The craft project is only for the kiddos. Parents welcomed to help.

 

Saturday, December 21 - 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Schedule of activities (timing is estimated)

4pm to 4:45pm - Sutter Street Theater (717 Sutter St)or musical performance, reading, singalong (arrive a few minutes to be seated)

4:45pm to 5:30pm - The Painted Cork (726 Sutter St) for the craft project for the kiddos only

5:30pm to 6:00pm - Pioneer Village (198 Wool St) to enjoy specialty cookies and hot cocoa; kiddos to receive special ornament in the genuine caboose. Docents will be on hand at Pioneer Village to share information about this historic site on the National Historic Registry.

 

Please note that a bit of walking is involved between the three venues.

 

Parking is free throughout the Historic District; always plenty of parking in the garage at 905 Leidesdorff Street. Come early to be sure to find a parking spot.
